Behind the Research: Lisa Amory

CMR is proud to have an exceptional team that shares our passion for hope and our goal to help those in need. This month, we feature one of our valued team members, Lisa Amory, in our Behind the Research blog series. Read on to learn more about Lisa.

Question: Tell us a little bit about your role. What motivates you to participate in clinical research?

Lisa: I’m the Administrative Manager, which means I wear a lot of different hats. I work in accounts payable/receivable, human resource support, payroll, facilities management, and IT support. My motivation for working in clinical research is the opportunity to help others in a setting that I never thought I would.

Question: What’s one work thing you want to accomplish in the next year?

Lisa: There is always so much to do on the list. No one project stands out. If I had to pick one, it would be refining our site practices for eRegulatory and training all staff on these.

Question: Do you have a favorite holiday? Why or why not?

Lisa: Christmas – My husband and I got married on December 23rd, so we get to celebrate our anniversary at a beautiful time of year with friends and family.

Question: What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?

Lisa: Coming from an administrative position in the automotive collision industry to a clinical research site has challenged me to use my skills in an environment completely foreign. I’m proud to think that I provide all the clinical staff at CMR the support they deserve.

Question: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Lisa:  Cheese! There are so many different types to choose from.

Question: What is the thing you like most about your job?

Lisa:  I love helping others, whether they are patients or staff.
